The Mountain Grove Fire Department operates out of two stations.
The Main Fire Station is located on the south side of town on Morris St.
The North Station is on North Main St. in the same area as the public works department.
The apparatus consists of
2001 KME 1250 GPM pumper,
1988 Pierce 1750 GPM 75’ Ariel Ladder,
two brush trucks,
three tankers Trucks
heavy rescue Vehicle
The Department has the capabilities of general fire suppression,
Auto Extrication, Medical First Responders, Light Hazmat Capabilities and Swift Water Rescue.
The Department covers 213 square miles which includes the City of Mountain Grove and it’s surrounding areas
The Department consists of two full time personnel and 23 paid per call personnel.
The full time personnel consists of the Fire Chief and a Captain.
The Chief is responsible for administrative duties within the department along with building inspections and
enforcement of building and fire codes and assists with equipment upkeep and maintenance.
The captain is responsible for most of the equipment upkeep and maintenance and is the chief medical officer he is also responsible
for medical training of all medical first responders.
The Department is an accredited training entity through the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
The Department holds training meetings on the first and third Monday of every month covering various topics.
